Youth Service Committee
Rotary recognizes that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow — they are partners in service today. Investing in youth ensures the sustainability of Rotary’s values, global understanding, and community leadership for generations to come.

Empowering the Next Generation
At the Rotary Club of West Ottawa, we believe in empowering the next generation of leaders. The Youth Service Committee is where Rotary’s values meet youthful energy and vision — a bridge between mentorship and opportunity. Through hands-on projects, leadership training, and community partnerships, our goal is to nurture personal growth, ethical leadership, civic engagement, and global awareness among young people.
Our Mission
The Youth Service Committee supports and coordinates all club programs related to youth engagement — locally and internationally. Guided by Rotary’s Four-Way Test and Areas of Focus, we help young people build skills, confidence, and compassion through meaningful service and learning experiences.

Why It Matters
Young people are tomorrow’s leaders — but also today’s changemakers. By connecting them with Rotary’s network of mentors and opportunities, the Youth Service Committee helps ensure that their potential is seen, supported, and celebrated. Whether through leadership programs, mental-health initiatives, or hands-on service, RCWO youth programs build hope and resilience for the future.
