Our Projects: Rotary Values in Action

At the Rotary Club of West Ottawa, our projects are where Rotary values come to life. Guided by Rotary International’s seven causes—promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, supporting mothers and children, advancing education, growing local economies, and protecting the environment—we turn compassion into action right here in our community.

Every initiative we take on is rooted in the Four-Way Test, Rotary’s timeless guide to truth, fairness, goodwill, and benefit to all. From literacy programs like Dictionary4Life and the Free Reading Program, to youth leadership opportunities such as Adventure in Finance and Rotary Youth Exchange, to hands-on service projects like our Mums for Thanksgiving Fundraiser and Cash Calendar lottery, our projects create tangible impact.

We also collaborate with partners across Ottawa to support vulnerable populations, nurture tomorrow’s leaders, and foster a spirit of fellowship and inclusion. Each project is a chance to put Service Above Self into practice, whether by raising funds, rolling up our sleeves, or sparking positive change through dialogue and education.

👉 Check out our projects, get involved, and see how you can help us Unite for Good. Together, we are building stronger communities—locally and globally.
