LInda Roehrl, Larry Chop, and Rocco Disipio getting mums ready for delivery, 2025.

October 15, 2025: The Rotary Club of West Ottawa is delighted to share that our 2025 Mums for Thanksgiving Campaign was another tremendous success. Together with our community, we grossed over $88,000 in supporting youth, literacy, housing, and education, advancing Rotary’s mission of service both locally and beyond. This year, nearly 4,500 vibrant chrysanthemums were delivered across Ottawa—brightening homes and hearts just in time for Thanksgiving.

One of our volunteers collects a mum for delivery, 2025.

The campaign would not have been possible without the dedication of our Team leaders Larry Chop, Linda Roehrl, and Rocco Disipio whose leadership ensured everything ran smoothly with team members Don Butler, Brian Waters, Brett Brooking, Anna Jasiak and Debra Scarpelli.  Further, we are deeply grateful to the many partners who stepped forward in both sales and deliveries including Royal Lepage, partner Ottawa Rotary Clubs including Rotary Club of Ottawa-Stittsville and others and those who opted to deliver their purchased plants. The drivers from these organizations with our own RCWO members all pitched in to ensure mums were delivered on time.

This initiative shows the power of collaboration: Rotarians and community partners working side by side to raise funds, share fellowship, and support meaningful causes. To everyone who purchased mums, volunteered their time, or helped spread the word: thank you for making this campaign bloom with success!

Remember, this thanks is not from RCWO but the local and global recipients of the raised funds whose lives are improved with this support.
