Call for 2027 RCWO Calendar Photo Submissions

May 2, 2026: The Rotary Club of West Ottawa is now accepting photo submissions for the 2027 RCWO Calendar. This year’s theme invites photographers to showcase “MY Canada in Ottawa area – Nature and Architecture.” Whether it is a striking seasonal landscape or a unique architectural perspective, we encourage you to capture the beauty of our region through your lens.

This annual calendar is a proud RCWO tradition, celebrating local talent while raising funds to support our community initiatives. We welcome submissions from members, as well as their family and friends.

Submission Details

• Deadline: May 10, 2026
• Submission email: rcwocalendarphotos@gmail.com
• Maximum: Up to 5 photos per photographer
• Selection: One photo per photographer will be chosen through a blind ranking by the Calendar Committee

Please submit photos in original, full-size format. Many email programs offer size options such as Small, Medium, Large, or Full Size; always select Full Size. While USB drives or CDs can be accepted, email submission is strongly preferred. If you encounter difficulty, contact the same email address for assistance.

Photo Requirements

• Theme: MY Canada in Ottawa area – Nature and Architecture
• Orientation: Landscape preferred; 16:9 aspect ratio recommended
• Quality: Minimum 5 megapixels or 300 dpi resolution (Full Size)
• Seasonal balance: Winter photos (November to April) are especially needed

We aim to match images to calendar months based on season, so a variety of seasonal submissions is encouraged.

Information to Include

• Photographer’s name and relationship to RCWO (member, family, friend, etc.)
• Location where the photo was taken
• Date or approximate time the photo was taken

Usage and Permissions

• The photographer must own the copyright to all submitted images
• Do not include watermarks, credits, or text on the image
• Full credit will be provided in the printed calendar
• By submitting, you grant RCWO permission to publish the images in the 2027 Rotary Calendar

Photos taken in public places that include people generally do not require permission; however, when in doubt, it is always best to ask. Obtaining a release is recommended if there is any uncertainty.
