November 5, 2025: What happens when high school students step inside Ottawa’s high-tech workplaces and meet the innovators shaping the future?

This October, the Rotary Club of West Ottawa sponsored two students to attend the 41st annual Adventure in High Technology, a three-day, in-person program hosted by the Rotary Club of Nepean-Kanata. Participants explored leading technology companies and educational institutions, gaining hands-on experience and insight into careers in science, technology, and innovation.

Thanks to RCWO sponsorship, each student received free accommodations, meals, activities, and materials—making this opportunity accessible to motivated learners.

Adventure in High Technology (AiHT) has been inspiring students since 1984, helping them explore future careers and make informed decisions about education and employment in the high-tech sector.

Organized by the Rotary Club of Nepean-Kanata, this three-day experiential program connects high school students with local leaders in technology, research, and education. Participants tour high-tech workplaces, engage in presentations, and experience real-world applications of innovation: from software development and robotics to healthcare technology and environmental solutions.

Now in its 41st year, AiHT continues to showcase Ottawa’s reputation as a hub of innovation. Each fall, Rotary clubs across the region identify and sponsor young people eager to learn. Students return home inspired, confident, and equipped with new perspectives on how technology shapes our community and our world.
