Hi everyone,
Rotary will be marching in the Ottawa Pride Parade this Sunday, August 30, and there’s still time to join in! District 7040 would love to have more Rotarians, family members, and friends walking together. Please note that the parade route and staging location have changed this year. Pride Parade Details • Sunday, August 30 • Arrival: 12:45–1:15 PM • Parade begins: 1:00 PM • Rotary staging area: B171 • Colour zone: RED • Route: Wellington & Booth to Bank & Albert • Distance: Approximately 1.5 km / 45 minutes There’s no check-in: simply head directly to Rotary’s designated staging area. You can enter from either Vimy Place and Wellington or Booth and Wellington. Getting there: Parking is very limited, and there is no parking at the Canadian War Museum. Public transit is strongly recommended. Pimisi and Bayview are the closest O-Train stations. What to bring: A water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and your energy! Extra water will be available for refills. What to wear: Rotary swag and Pride colours! You can register in advance through the District 7040 event page: https://rotary7040.com/event/2026-ottawa-pride-parade/ Or simply show up on Sunday afternoon and join the Rotary contingent. The forecast may be a little wet, so come prepared for the weather. Rain or shine, it should be a fun afternoon and a great opportunity to show that Rotary welcomes and supports everyone.
