Our member, Bea Osome, again embarked on an African project. This time it was a pilot water & sanitation (toilet) project which received District Matching Grant funding.
Rotarian Bea and her husband, Ben recently travelled to Esiandumba, Luanda South, Vihiga County, Kenya, Africa to build toilets for boys and girls at the Esiandumba Primary School. The specific objectives were to: 1. Install a hygienic facility 2. Prepare and implement an operations and maintenance program for the facility and 3. Introduce an enhanced sanitation education at the school. And voila!
A successful project launch was held on Friday 18th March,2022.
