President Pardeep and Joan Heyland together with Simmy Ahluwalia, visited the Rotary Home on December 20, to drop off the 150 Penguins for Polio which the Rotary Club of West Ottawa had purchased from the Rotaract Club of South Ottawa; sales of these cute and cuddly penguins was a fundraising initiative of the Rotaract Club in support of the Rotary End Polio Campaign. The Rotary Club of West Ottawa had decided that the Rotary Home would be the perfect place to look after the penguins while they awaited adoption by young people who would give them a good and loving home, and to whom the penguins would provide soft, friendly comfort.
