This year, our club has partnered with the TD in a separate D4L project.  Ten schools in both the public and Catholic school boards have been selected to receive the dictionaries for 2 years. TD volunteers will join us in presenting the books.

Our order for Fall 2017 presentations of books to almost 2,000 Grade 3s in Ottawa, Prescott, Cornwall, Napanee, Smiths Falls, Kingston, Eganville, and Arnprior will be on its way soon from Dubai. How exciting!

Seven other Ottawa Rotary clubs participate.  They are Nepean-Kanata, Orleans, Ottawa, Ottawa Bytown, Ottawa South, Ottawa-Stittsville and South Nepean. The Rotary Club of Montreal-Lakeshore recently gave out books to one of their local schools.

Rotary Clubs of Prescott, Kingston-Waterfront, Napanee and Cornwall-Sunrise joined the District D4L project over the past few years. And the newest clubs taking part in this year's book order include the Rotary Clubs of Eganville and Arnprior.

Our literacy project continues to be augmented with the Ottawa Reads initiative wherein a team of volunteers read to students at Agincourt Road and Regina Street Public Schools.
